Hello!
I am Eve Colabella: a twenty-one year old English Literature with Creative Writing graduate (University of East Anglia) who also loves to make art. I have been creating things for as long as I have been able to hold a pen. As a child, I used to make strange little illustrated anthologies of original horror stories, complete with gruesome details scribbled in my childish, crayon lines. Ignoring the worrying psychological implications of this, it is clear that I have always had an active imagination. I only began to share my work online in Summer 2021, after I had finished my A-Levels, and finally was at a point where I was satisfied with what I was creating.

Around this time, I also began to take writing more seriously; stories and poetry had always flitted in the background of my life, and I had been accepted to study BA English Literature with Creative Writing at UEA. The majority of this early poetry is godawful, crammed with as many shiny adjectives as I could conjure up, but after three years of studying, I like to think that there has been a marginal improvement, and that there will be even more improvement as I continue to write.
On this site, you will find an assortment of my different works: paintings, sketches, poems, stories, journalistic writing, etc. It's a hybrid of a portfolio and a blog, a physical manifestation of the creative world I inhabit. I like to explore nature, femininity, fantasy and the self within my work, but mostly, I make colourful work that I enjoy looking at. I hope you enjoy it too!

Eve :)
